BRANDON MOUW

I’ve been lucky enough to get to know and work with Brandon Mouw, the man with a stranger’s pancreas. His story is incredible - he had type 1 diabetes for 31 years. Near the end, he became a “brittle” diabetic, with near constant low blood sugars that eventually made having diabetes so dangerous that it became life-threatening. Faced with a choice, Brandon raised $250,000 to fund a pancreas transplant surgery that, in spite of the odds, saved his life and continues to give him life. We’ve done a few photoshoots together and I’ve seen first-hand his resilience and determination in the face of challenges.
